Hot chamber die casting is a high-pressure die casting technique that applies low melting metal materials like zinc to make high-performance metal components. 4 advantages of hot chamber die casting:

(1) Hot chamber die casting has a faster production circle;

(2) It can create metal components with a more intricate design;

(3) Compared to other die casting processing, it produces less metal scrap;

(4) The die can be used multiple times because of its lower melting points;

2 disadvantages of hot chamber die casting:

(1) Hot chamber die casting parts have high porosity. This may be the biggest disadvantage of hot chamber die casting. This may lead to large bubbles on the finished metal components.

(2) It needs a higher cost on equipment start-up. Thus, if you just want to produce low-volume metal parts, hot chamber die casting wouldn’t be a cost-effective choice for you.
